With CVA 5060 – Miele’s fully automatic built-in coffee maker, your coffee experience starts even before the first drip.  Place your cup under the central discharge spout – an exclusive to Miele – press the button and enjoy the show.  What ensues is a perfectly choreographed performance of sight, sound and smell.  First enters a gush of hot, steaming milk in a vapor mist; then perfectly frothed milk gently smothers your cup to the brim, like a seductive interlude.  For the finale, a gentle stream of espresso trickles in, magically separating milk and froth, and voila!  A perfectly layered Latte Macchiato.  You will find yourself looking forward to waking up in the morning.

Like any performer of high caliber, the CVA 5060 has a wide repertoire.  Classic coffee and espresso drinks are a given, but its skilled renditions of Cappuccino, steamed milk and milk froth are equally expert.  It takes special requests too:  up to 10 users can create a unique ‘connoisseur profile’ that is fine-tuned to suit their tastes.   Your personal preferences will be followed to a T, every time, from the fineness and quantity of beans to be ground, water temperature and quantity of milk or water per cup.  All these functions of the fully automatic coffee maker can be set on the display for a beautifully simple coffee making experience. 

But frankly, a cup of coffee from the CVA 5060 is good enough even without the fine-tuning, for pays special attention to every aspect of coffee making.  An integrated milk flask – also exclusive to Miele – made of doublewalled stainless steel keeps the milk cool for up to 12 hours, depending on ambient temperature.  The 700 ml capacity also allows it to handle larger quantities of Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, steamed milk and milk froth.  Coffee beans are ground fresh for each serving; this is mixed with water in a dynamic brewing chamber that expands when water flows in, allowing for more intensive mixing.  The result is coffee that is fully aromatic.  The CVA 5060 is also equipped with a 2.3L water container, eliminating the need for piped-in water and simplifying installation processes.

Clad in CleanSteel, a special easy-clean surface finish that ensures fewer visible fingerprints, the CVA 5060 fits snugly into wall cabinets with an opening height of 45 cm.  If that does not fit with your current kitchen ensemble, it goes into a mobile cabinet too.

There will also be contests and a raffle where visitors can win one (1) KitchenAid K45 Classic Stand Mixer.

To further embody DMC’s message of inspiring hobbyists and creating beginners, the event also featured a get- together and workshop on its first weekend. It welcomed hobbyists and beginners to enjoy cross- stitch lessons and inspiring talks from noted hobbyists. Marietta Tianchion, Terese Magsalin and Tet Elomina were 3 of the hobbyists asked to share their stories to the hobbyists and beginners present in the event.

The workshop had a special twist as the beginners had special teachers in their basic cross- stitch lessons. Unlike the usual format of having a DMC Craft Specialist give lessons, the hobbyists present were asked to form their own small groups and teach the beginners basic cross- stitch. All the participants were given free beginners’ kits for lesson materials.
