About the Role:

As the Product Manager, you will lead the business operations of the assigned brand through strategizing on product and new SKU pipeline, monitoring inventory, sales forecasting and reordering, product compliance, and improvement of customer experience/ service through operational efficiency. The position will be responsible for supporting and positively impacting business objectives through operations and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for all product information within your brand’s portfolio 
  • Responsible for the end-to-end management of your brand’s product portfolio including product competitive analysis, inventory management, and demand forecasting
  • Work closely with the sales teams to forecast demand across all channels – offline retailers, company owned stores, and online ecommerce platforms (.com website and marketplaces). 
  • Strategize on the introduction of new products into the market by performing competitive analysis and feasibility studies. This includes mapping out the consumer landscape to consider compelling positioning for your brands 
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels through order forecasting, efficient reordering, and creating action plans to manage aging and defective items. 
  • Manage product compliance and product certification for your brands’ portfolio
  • Perform product training for Sales and Customer Service team members
  • Improve operational efficiency by constantly reviewing and updating internal support team workflows for daily processes and business operations – working alongside the Warehouse, Order Processing, Accounting, and Customer Success teams.
  • Analyze business metrics to improve overall business performance, e.g. promo results, per channel moveout, customer satisfaction metrics, etc. 

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or similar area.
  • At least 3 years of experience in brand/category management for a consumer good, FMCG, or related industry. 
  • Experience in retail merchandising including supplier purchasing, pricing, and inventory management
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Adept with spreadsheets, e.g. Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheets
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial mindset

  • An understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce
